The basic organisational structure of the project consists of two basic volumes that are articulated via one central atrium. This central atrium includes the central stairwell that unifies the two entries of the building. The several vertical and horizontal designing axes unite the Entrance hall of the City Hall to all its Cultural and multi-purposed areas.LIVADEA
All the separate halls of the building are developed gradually, following the natural elevation of the plot. A main element of the synthesis is the two-storey structure that is located in a nodal point between the building and the square. It constitutes the extension of the project to its surroundings. It also constitutes the ending of the South-western fire-safety stairwell and it can accommodate the Public Affairs’ office and other facilities related to the City’s Cultural Activities.
